Research and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (REAP):
This program encourages economically and socially disadvantaged high school students to pursue careers in math, science, and technology through hands-on experience in research and development. With grants from the U.S. Army the program is administered by the Academy of Applied Science and sponsors about 120 students at 52 colleges and universities nationwide each year. U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Student Educational Employment Program Managers: This is a partnership between the Prince George's County Maryland Public School System and USDA which moves the classroom into the Department to facilitate the training of students to fill clerical and administrative support positions.
