The Defense Criminal Investigative Service

Protecting America's Warfighters

STUDENT HIRE OPPORTUNITIES

If you are currently a college student majoring in Criminal Justice, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, and you have an interest in Federal Law Enforcement, this may be a great opportunity for you!

Each year, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), the investigative component of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense (DoD), seeks student trainees for summer internships (unpaid). As a student trainee, you will work with DCIS special agents and learn the skills and techniques used to investigate allegations of criminal, civil and administrative violations, and help promote economy, efficiency and effective operations within the DoD. The investigations conducted by DCIS primarily involve contract and procurement fraud, antitrust violations, bribery, corruption, health care fraud, and computer intrusion.

Student trainee opportunities are available at DCIS headquarters in Arlington, VA, across from the Pentagon near our Nation's Capital, and at many field locations throughout the United States. Special agents have the authority to make arrests, carry firearms, execute search warrants and serve subpoenas. They also conduct interviews, appear as witnesses before grand juries, at criminal and civil trials, and at administrative proceedings. As a student trainee, your observations of these investigations will enhance your ability to compete for a future career in law enforcement.

If you are interested, please submit a resume to the Department of Defense, Inspector General, 400 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202, ATTN: Personnel and Security Directorate, Summer (insert year here)/Student Trainee. Apply now and come assist in "PROTECTING AMERICA'S WARFIGHTERS."
